Can FutureAdvisor's management fee be paid by credit or debit card?

In keeping with our fully automated service, we automatically withdraw your quarterly management fee via the accounts that we manage. We cannot accept credit or debit cards to pay for the management fee.

When we withdraw the fee, we make sure to do so from the account that makes the most sense. We default to billing from the taxable account, and if none is included in the portfolio, we will default to the largest account available.

If you don’t have a taxable account, we can help you open one and fund it with enough money to pay the management fee. Funds in a retirement account are worth more to future you than taxable monies, so we prefer to take from a taxable account if at all possible.
