What can I expect when I apply to your Premium service?

Below you'll find a general overview of the enrollment process when applying for FutureAdvisor's Premium managed service. You can also view our handy infographic here.

  1. Your application is received and reviewed by one of our enrollment specialists. We'll let you know if we have any questions for you.

  2. Your custodial paperwork is generated and sent to you for signature.

  3. Paperwork is received by FutureAdvisor and submitted to Fidelity or TD Ameritrade to open or transfer accounts.

  4. Fidelity or TD Ameritrade add FutureAdvisor as the advisor on any existing accounts. If transferring accounts from an outside custodian, new accounts are opened and transfers are initiated with FutureAdvisor also added as advisor to the new accounts.

  5. If you applied with a former employer plan, we will send you instructions for rolling over the plan once your accounts are open. Read here for more detail.

  6. You will receive a rebalance preview detailing the proposed trades in your account - trades take place within two business days of receipt of this email.

  7. After this initial set of trades, you are live on our automated platform and transactions will happen automatically to improve your portfolio when necessary.
