Why has my TD Ameritrade login information changed?

Clients with existing TD Ameritrade accounts move internally from TD’s retail platform to the institutional one once they sign up with FutureAdvisor. Your credentials change as your accounts are being configured for advisor access.

You will be able to reset your username and password as soon as the link-on is complete, which is typically within 2-3 days after we receive your paperwork.

Read here for more information on the difference between retail and institutional investors:

Instructions for resetting your log-in credentials:

Please call the TD Ameritrade Institutional Technology Department at (800) 431-3500:

1) Select option #3 for Technology Services
2) Select option #3 again for Password Assistance
3) Request your Username and Password for online access to TD Ameritrade's Retail website (www.tdameritrade.com)

**Please ask the TD Ameritrade representative to give you access to the Retail website (and not the Institutional website, www.advisorclient.com), because the Retail website offers more online functionality.

Have your account number available when you call. You can find your TD Ameritrade account number on your FutureAdvisor “Accounts” page by clicking the link at the top of your dashboard.

If you have multiple accounts, you can link them together on the TD Ameritrade website. Here are detailed instructions to link your accounts: https://wwws.ameritrade.com/cgi-bin/apps/u/help/managingYourAccount...

You will need your TD login if you want to link your bank account for deposit/withdrawal. See: https://www.tdameritrade.com/retail-en_us/resources/pdf/TDA693.pdf

If you have any questions or would like help accessing your account, please don't hesitate to email us at vip@futureadvisor.com.
